Watch on Steam ↗ROB RUN entered Early Access on Steam on 4 November 2026 after a public playtest from 30 October to 2 November. Below is every official announcement from the first Closed Alpha footage to launch day, followed by the thirteen balance changes Kefir shipped with the launch patch and what each one means for cops, the economy and items.
Cops, economy and items, as patched on 4 November.
| Change | Area | What changed | Effect | Date |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cop respawn | Cops | Cop respawn time increased, with a longer delay after each consecutive death. | Nerf | 4 Nov 2026 |
| Police badges | Cops | Cops can buy police badges; selection depends on their district. Badges from loot and salaries cut significantly. | Change | 4 Nov 2026 |
| Fresh-server cop gear | Cops | Patrol cops only have pistols on a fresh server; better gear unlocks as the server ages. | Nerf | 4 Nov 2026 |
| Tier 1 land | Economy | Tier 1 settlements and land rentals cost documents instead of cash. | Change | 4 Nov 2026 |
| Base businesses | Economy | Profits from base businesses (farms, labs, contraband) massively increased. | Buff | 4 Nov 2026 |
| Dumpster cash | Economy | More cash found in dumpsters. | Buff | 4 Nov 2026 |
| Shipments | Economy | Dismantling and selling shipments pays much more, but drop rates fell and dismantling takes longer. | Change | 4 Nov 2026 |
| Tier 2 and 3 costs | Economy | Unlock and purchase costs of some Tier 2 and Tier 3 settlement items increased. | Nerf | 4 Nov 2026 |
| Basic pistol | Economy | Basic pistol price reduced and more starter weapon spawns added in the city. | Buff | 4 Nov 2026 |
| Buletti | Items | The Buletti can no longer transport shipments. | Nerf | 4 Nov 2026 |
| Fabergé Egg | Items | Fabergé Egg cracking time reduced; tablets needed for a glass cutter increased. | Change | 4 Nov 2026 |
| Laundering desk | Items | Laundering desk cash capacity massively increased. | Buff | 4 Nov 2026 |
| Stack sizes | Items | Maximum stack size raised for decoders, gold bars and several other items. | Buff | 4 Nov 2026 |
The playtest wrap-up post promised a pistol on every spawn. The launch patch replaced that with a cheaper basic pistol and more starter weapon spawns, because Kefir wants players to work up from nothing. None of these changes are final.
